Sunday 28th April – 2 – 5pm

The build up to this event was “HUGE”!  and from all the positive feedback we received, the audience really enjoyed the afternoon.  I know I had a great time playing with Jazz Notes.  Thanks everyone (-:

It was especially lovely to see so many friends coming out to support us.

A big thank you to Damon, Chris and Bernie from the Treble Clef, they are always such wonderful hosts.

For the past 10 years The Swingmasters have enjoyed an afternoon of musical entertainment at our local RSL club.  This year it was slightly different, a booking at Burnside Retirement Village saw the full band; Wendy, John, Graeme, Joe and me, bring a program of dancing and sing-alongs, with a ANZAC theme, to all the residents.  It was so much fun!  I particularly enjoyed leading the “Waltz across Texas”, even the Hokey Pokey, Nut bush and Rock around the Clock.  A few lovely duets with Wendy (my Mum), drew huge applause!  A fitting way to celebrate the memory of our Anzacs.

Lessons recommence Monday 15th April, 2013.  Timetables now updated and ready for viewing.

Very lucky to be invited along to join the band of Perfect Posture + Strong Spine – 6 Simple Exercises highly experienced musicians for this Jazz Jam.� The first one at Gabri.

It was loads of fun.� There was�a lovely vibe�in this restaurant,�friendly hosts and patrons,�great food and refreshments.� Just a great night all round.

The music was all about Jazz!� Met some new players tonight, and enjoyed watching the interaction between some of them.

We had a fantastic afternoon at The Treble Clef Jazz Lounge. 

It was great playing with Body & Soul – Jan Blake, Tony Robertson, Frank Morgan and Me.

The audience, as always, were very appreciative and it was great to have the support of our families and friends.  Thanks everyone.

I was very happy to have my daughter with me yesterday, she has just returned from her 5 week overseas tour.

Had a great night last night at Bar Oussou in Brunswick. 

I was thrilled to be invited to join in the Soirée Musique.  Bar Oussou has many organised events and the Soirée Musique is held on the first friday of each month.  It was lovely to play with a great bunch of solid backing musicians. 

It’s always so nice that a new musician can join a group and there is no need for words, music is the conversation.  I enjoyed the many new conversations I had last night.

Loved watching all the French patrons having the best time!
