We had so much fun on Friday.  Jan, Frank, Douglas, Joseph and me.  Many great comments, and lots of fun.  Thanks to Lorraine and the Croydon Main Street Traders for the invitation to play again.

The Mid Year Concert for my Creative Music Students at  Old Orchard PS was held on Tuesday 25th June, 2013.

This was the first concert in our new room, and I thank all the parents, grandparents and friends who came along to support all of the wonderful musicians.  This was one of the biggest audiences for a few years, thanks for your continued support of the teaching programs at Old Orchard PS.

I would like to congratulate all of  my students for their excellent performances.

 

 

 

 

 

Congratulations to all my wonderful students for their hard work and dedication during Semester 1.

The concert was held on Monday 24th June, 2013 to a very appreciative audience of family and friends.

I was lucky enough to be able to fit this event in.  Friday was a very busy day!  I would have been disappointed to miss it.

The house band was just firing up with Luella when I arrived at 10:15pm We continued for another 2 hours, playing some great vocals and instrumentals.  It was a fitting farewell for Louis.  He had arranged so many soirées and it was everyone’s way of saying a fond farewell to him as he heads off to sunny QLD.

Lots of interesting people, great music and a terrific atmosphere at Bar Oussou Friday night.

Glad I could make it.

Jazz Notes Trio, Flute, Guitar & Double Bass played at this invitation only event.� The Manningham City Council, in partnership with�the Lord Mayor�s Charitable�Foundation, runs the Manningham Charitable Fund.

The guys in the band; Kevin, Paul, Stan & Louis are all amazing instrumentalists and help set the mood for the night.

I also had a great night being part of the band too, everyone made me feel welcome and I just loved it.

Very proud of my daughter Ashley who took the lead in at least four of the programmed numbers for the night and it was wonderful to hear Luella again, I really loved her version of People get ready..  Great Job Luella.

So many interesting performers pop in and join in the open Jam after 10:30pm.

Lots of saxophones this month !, I’m looking forward to a steel drum or harp or something completely different next time – World Music Day – Friday 21st June, should be rather interesting..  Then there will be the first Friday in July – put that in your diary….
