This was the second month at Francesca’s and it was a great night.

The House Band; Kevin, Stan, Paul, Tony and Me get to back some great performances, apart from our own music, which, even if I do say…., is always pretty exciting, and a whole lot of fun!

This month we were lucky to have Marek join us on Vibes and Melodica – a really nice mix.  There were some great performances in the set program and in the open mic section there was some terrific talent.

Hopefully we’ll see them in the set program in the following months.  We are awaiting confirmation of the March Soiree (probably 21st March).

 

PS – I got to dance too! 🙂

I am very lucky to have some lovely friends who invite me to play for them.  I especially enjoy the themed days I get to play at.

Valentine’s day saw me play a lovely set of romantic tunes for a special group of residents at Donwood.

This year was only the second time I had been to this Festival, and I had a great time.

I am so happy to have played with Jan Blake’s Body & Soul, Easy Street, The Bluetone Jazz Band and Handshaw Sandwich.

Saw some fantastic bands, watched the Sunday March, and enjoyed making new friends during the weekend.

Although the weekend was really hot and very windy and there was a massive power outage on the Saturday night, which caused all the events to be cancelled, (and it wasn’t even my fault), we musicians improvised, played acoustically where possible until the organizers pulled the plug due to safety issues.  There were little groups playing in the park, other little groups drinking after dark, and some of us just enjoying watching the fun.

Congratulations to everyone who attended and made the festival for 2014 so great.
