What a fabulous night!. So nice to see so many people enjoying themselves. Very nice to see Lynne & Dave from Blue Tango, Frank Morgan, and so many other fine musicians & singers. Huge crowd at Francesca’s for Soirée Musique. See everyone again next month. 29th August.

We had a real diverse range of musical instruments this month.  Can’t wait to see what happens in August!

 

So nice to play as a Duo.  Kevin plays his guitar so beautifully it just makes my flute sound so special.  Last time we played together the comments were incredible.  We had to do something extra special this time – and from all accounts we did!.

The Treble Clef was suitably filled with a very appreciative audience and we even had some new friends sign up to the Jazz Notes mailing list.  Now they can find out where and when we play next.

Very lucky to get an invite to play with the Bluetone jazz band two days in a row.

We played on Wednesday 16th July for a friendship group in North Balwyn – it was a lovely afternoon of joyous music making.

Then again the following evening at the Ivanhoe Masonic Centre.  The stage was a little squishy – but we’re all friends so that’s ok!.

At the end of the evening there was an offer of a tour of the lodge, I was very excited to see some of the “special” historical areas at the lodge.  Absolutely beautiful. I certainly felt very lucky.

What a great afternoon of Jazz with Jan, Neil, and Frank.  I always enjoy playing with Body and Soul.  Got to play a few new charts with Neil.  Very nice audience.  We’ll be back again at the Treble clef in October.

A great night to help raise funds for the Isabella and Marcus Paediatric Brainstem Tumor Fund.

Jazz Notes supported Jan Blake’s fundraiser along with many other wonderful musicians.

I really enjoyed playing with an augmented Jazz Notes which included: Jan Blake (vocals), Ann Craig (flute), Brett Willis (saxophone and clarinet), Kevin Blazé (guitar), Frank Morgan (bass).

A wonderful fundraising effort.
