30th October, 2014.
Asked to fill in for my Dad (John) so, of course – I couldn’t say no! I hadn’t played at the Rye RSL for many years, although The Swingmasters have a regular gig there. Really enjoyed the friendly atmosphere.
It was so much fun, we had everyone dancing the night away.
Wendy Craig – Vocals
Ann Craig – Flute
Graeme Howie – Keyboard/Vocal
Angus Wynd – Drums.
acted as head tech person for the evening.
Ready to help again if I’m needed Dad!
Saturday was a busy day. It started with playing for a Private Party at the Treble Clef Jazz Lounge.
It was a really lovely afternoon. No time to hang around at the end, we headed straight to the hills.
Jazz Notes with Pippa Wilson.
Our evening was booked out. The audience got a great evening of music and fun. Pippa is such a great entertainer and she enjoys having fun on stage with me (and the others in the band).
We are looking forward to doing more of these events in 2015.
Check the Jazz Notes website (www.jazznotes.net.au) for more pictures and details from the night.
Melbourne Music Performers – Meet-up. (Friday 17th October)
Normally held on the last Friday of the month, although this month we brought the event forward to coincide with the Festival.
We had great attendance, lots of open mic acts and our guest artists, just awesome. Of course, the House Cats (our house band) were awesome!
Thanks to the management and staff at Francesca’s for their continued support.
Standing Tall at Open Studio. (Sunday 19th October)
We had a really lovely audience – great music, terrific fun, a few drinks. A lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon. A little squishy this month but still a great time. We’ll be at Open Studio again in November. See you then.
Thursday 9th October – What a fun night that was…
We were very thankful to Roger Clark for inviting us to play at Dizzy’s.
It was a great night, terrific music, great atmosphere and everyone who came really enjoyed the evening.
Great to have Monique joining us on drums for the evening.
There was a guest appearance by Ted on piano for a few tunes with Sevil.
Sunday 5th October.
It was a quick trip back from Corowa for me, heading straight to The Treble Clef.
And it was certainly worth the trip! I had a lovely Sunday Afternoon filled with cool jazzy tunes. Jan in perfect voice, Neil “the hat” Taylor – brilliant on the keys, and Frank on Bass, always the groovy bass man. I always love playing with these guys.
The First weekend of October 2014.
A great weekend of music and dance in Corowa. Friday and Saturday evenings filled with great dancing. We always enjoy these dance weekends, it’s a great time to catch up with some friends. People have a great time dancing. Beautiful, graceful dancing.
It was really nice to have
Peter and Angus join the Swingmasters (John, Wendy, Ann & Graham) this time around.
See everyone in 2015.
