Thanks to Wade we were introduced to this funky venue in Fitzroy.  Initially they wanted a musical (mystical) quartet – lets see how this goes.

We were happy to see Daniel & Marek join us, then Rob and Andrew, and early January Josh and Simon.  Thanks to all the gang for supporting us, hope to continue further in 2017.

Day 1 – January

I needed to be very organized this year (already!)

Up nice and early New Years Day for a gig at Eira Cafe.

I’ve never seen this place so busy.

Thanks to the staff for looking after us and the crowd for seeing the first day of the new year with us.

Eltham Jazz Festival is on.� Put this in your diary – it’s a free event!

Day 2 – January.

Australian Jazz Museum – Open Day.

Thanks to Barrie Boyes for inviting us to play for the AJM Open Day.

Kevin and I were so happy to have David Taylor on bass, Tony Luxmoore on keys and we roped Barrie in on sax.� We played a nice mix of jazz, latin and trad favorites for the various tour groups coming to see what the AJM are doing to preserve Australia’s Jazz History.� Australian Jazz Museum
